Nottingham Forest at. Accrington:

Accrington midfielder Sean Doherty could earn a recall for the Carling Cup first round visit of Nottingham Forest.

Doherty suffered an ankle injury in the opening-day defeat at Chester but came off the bench to make an impact during Friday's 1-1 draw at Stockport.

Fellow midfielder Andy Proctor still has another game to serve on his three-match suspension, while on-loan goalkeeper Rob Elliot (ankle) is close to a return but Stanley are waiting for clearance from Charlton for him to be able to feature.

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood may use the trip to the Fraser Eagle Stadium to give some of his fringe players a run-out.

With Forest top of League One after four straight wins, Calderwood may elect not to risk any of his stars, meaning the likes of Spencer Weir-Daley, Neil Harris and Felix Bastians could feature.

Midfielder Gary Holt came through the 2-1 win over Brighton after a virus and will be in the squad again, although winger Kris Commons is unlikely to be risked as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
Take Accrington Stanley +0.5 / 1.925 $500 to win 463 ... :toast:

in response to your question from the other thread...in England I like to start with supporter forums to get their views through http://www.fanbase.inuk.com/ and then check out BBC for some other injury info. Looks like a real decent bet you have here with Stanley playing on Sky Sports ... big game for them and pretty worthless for Forest who have promotion aims

Nice call Hooligans. I've been finding that when teams rest their stars that it gets hard for their team to care about the outcome of the game and often find the opponent winning or taking a draw. I wish I would have read this in time.

Barnsley resting team for tomorrow ... just check out each BBC game post and you'll know who cares about the cup http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/league_cup/default.stm

From the web site:

"Barnsley are set to make wholesale changes with boss Andy Ritchie keen to give fringe players a run-out."

This match will be interesting to follow. Here are the odds from Pinnacle:
